In this project, the challenge was to create a completely new identity to an existing restaurant. Using a minimal budget, Elk Interiors strived to transform a tired old tenancy into a quaint and quintessentially French bistro. With its old-world colour palette of golds, deep navy, mustard yellow and warm burgundies, the interiors draw inspiration from Paris’s bistros. The textural and vintage elements such as plush velvets, handcrafted joinery, bentwood chairs and reclaimed bricks add warmth and a welcoming feel to the space.
